Laura Horton, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Laura joined The BabbCenter as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2018 with over ten years of private practice experience and managed care.
After receiving her degree in counseling from Trevecca University in 2006, she completed an externship in the study of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Laura enjoys working with clients from a variety of backgrounds—focusing on individuals, couples, and families (ages 14+). She has extensive experience providing therapy for depression, anxiety, couples counseling, teen motivational counseling, blended families, separation/divorce adjustment, crisis intervention, and personal development/enrichment.
Laura is married to her college sweetheart, and they have three adult children. She believes walking through the life stages of early marriage, parenting through the child life cycle, promotion involving the young adult launch, and now in the midst of empty nesting — affords her a unique view into her clients’ dilemmas and life stage complexities.
Laura lives on a family farm in Robertson County and enjoys reading, quiet spaces, and morning walks with her miniature schnauzer, Nash.
