Caroline Connelly

Master’s Level Intern

I am a counseling intern at the Babb Center for Counseling, pursuing a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling at Belmont University. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

I am passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work collaboratively towards meaningful change. My interests include working with children, adolescents, and young woman as they navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, relationships, and emotional well-being.

I believe a strong therapeutic relationship serves as the foundation for growth and healing and strive to meet each client with empathy, authenticity, and respect. I value a person-centered and constructivist approach, emphasizing the importance of each client’s unique story and lived experience. I incorporate techniques of narrative therapy and play therapy into my work, helping clients discover their strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.

Outside of the counseling room, I love to spend time outdoors, working out, listening to podcasts, and making memories with my friends and dogs!
