Lorraine Looney, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hello! I’m Lorraine Looney. I love being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker because I can work with people one-on-one while helping them understand and navigate how their larger world impacts them.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from UT Knoxville. I see clients ages 12 through adult. My fields of interest are depression and anxiety, eating disorders, and OCD. My lived experience motivated me to become a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
In addition to my work at The BABB Center, I founded the Sumner County Special Needs Collaborative, a nonprofit organization that advocates and educates on a county level for individuals with disabilities. I live in Gallatin with my husband of 20 years and our three school-aged children. I enjoy running and fitness, mindfulness, baking, reading just about any kind of book, and doing crossword puzzles.
I consider it a blessing to walk alongside and encourage my clients through difficult times and look forward to working together with you to help you overcome barriers, navigate challenges, and work toward your goals!
